Recently The Kāmahi Trust made a grant to a newly-formed organisation – Gen-Z Aotearoa – through an approach to one of its founders, 16-year-old Nate Wilbourne (pictured).
Gen-Z Aotearoa is a youth-led organization on a mission to empower and amplify the voices of young people across Aotearoa. Through innovative initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and community engagement efforts, we strive to create positive change and address pressing issues affecting our generation and the wider community.
At the heart of our organization is the belief that young people have the power to shape the future. With creativity, passion, and determination, we’re tackling important social, environmental, and cultural issues head-on, driving meaningful impact and inspiring others to join us in our mission.
The recent grant provided by the Kāmahi Trust is a game-changer for us. With this grant, we have the opportunity to expand our reach, enhance our programs, and further empower young people to become changemakers in their communities.
So, what difference will this grant make for Gen-Z Aotearoa? Let’s break it down:
1. Increased Outreach: With the support of the Kāmahi Trust grant, we’ll be able to reach more young people across Aotearoa through targeted outreach efforts, awareness campaigns, and community partnerships. This means amplifying our message, engaging new audiences, and mobilizing a larger network of changemakers.
2. Capacity Building: With financial support comes the opportunity to invest in our team and organizational capacity. Whether it’s training and development opportunities for our volunteers, or operational expenses, the grant will help us build a stronger foundation for sustainable growth and impact.
3. Community Impact: Ultimately, the Kāmahi Trust grant will enable us to make a greater impact on the issues that matter most to young people in Aotearoa. From advocating for social justice and environmental sustainability to promoting cultural diversity and mental health awareness, we’re committed to driving positive change and creating a brighter future for all.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Kāmahi Trust!
